Rolls Royce invest £11m in Advanced Manufacturing Park

AROUND 32 acres of land in Rotherham have been sold to Rolls-Royce in an £11 million deal.

Harworth Estates completed the deal at the at the Advanced Manufacturing Park near Catcliffe as part of Rolls-Royce's plans for a new operation making blades for jet engines and parts for nuclear power stations which could create 300 jobs.

Owen Michaelson, managing director of Harworth Estates, said: “We are delighted to have Rolls-Royce as our new principal occupier on the AMP site which helps to underpin the support and trust we have had from Rotherham Council, Sheffield Council and Yorkshire Forward.”

The Advanced Manufacturing Park is being developed to create a world class business and manufacturing centre and is home to technology companies including Castings Technology International, Boeing and Dormer Tools.
