Rising star scoops retail award

A CUSTOMER care specialist at a Rotherham-based electronics retailer has scooped a prestigious national award.

Bright spark Mark Dalgramo was named Individual of the Year award at the prestigious Retail Week Rising Star Awards, which was held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on September 15.

The 31-year-old Head of Customer Service at Manvers-based Maplin Electronics has worked for Maplin for thirteen years, starting as a store manager at the retailer's Aberdeen store.

Maplin’s CEO, Oliver Meakin, said: "It is fantastic for Mark to be recognised as a future leader of the retail industry and be recognised for his commitment to excellent customer service.

“His passion and commitment to Maplin and our customers really makes him a worthy winner."
