Reminder for voters over Doncaster's mayoral election

RESIDENTS wishing to vote in the upcoming Mayoral election in Doncaster are being urged to check they are registered.

All voters should now have received their poll cards in the post ahead of the vote on Thursday, May 2.

Anyone who hasn’t is asked to contact the council helpline before April 17 to be eligible to vote.

Chief executive and returning officer Jo Miller said: “The Mayoral election affects everyone who lives in the borough. These are your local services so make your voice heard.

“If you haven’t received a poll card you may not be registered to vote.”

Poll cards are sent to all registered voters and include important information about the election. It is not necessary to take the card to the polling station as long as you are registered.
