READER PICTURES: Midnight Walkers aid Rotherham Hospice

FIVE hundred fund-raisers set off on Rotherham Hospice's Midnight Walk.

Jacqui Watson, the hospice’s fund-raising team leader, said: “It was fantastic to see such a wide range of the Rotherham community involved this year.

“One in three people will be touched by hospice care, which was shown by the number of people taking part.

“We estimate we will raise in the region of £30,000—a real testament to everyone involved.”

The walkers were entertained before they set off by rapper Jay Mya, promising singers Sadie Bates and Sam Shirtliffe, urban artist Jason Quainoo and 14-year-old Liam Mousley, winner of the Advertiser’s Midnight Music competition.
