Re-appeal over A1M smash

Police have made another appeal for witnesses to a motorway smash in which two men were injured.

The incident happened between junctions 35 and 36 on the A1M southbound at shortly after mignight on Monday.

A white Mercedes LGV was in lane one when it collided with a blue Honda CRV travelling in lane two. A red Seat Leon crashed into the Honda after it had come to rest.

A 56-year-old Retford man driving the Honda was taken to hospital with head and chest injuries.

His condition at Doncaster Royal Infirmary was today described as serious but stable.

The Seat driver, a 30-year-old Middlesborough man sustained minor back injuries.
