Queens Hotel ready to reign again under Wetherspoons

A LANDMARK Maltby pub will re-open on Tuesday after a revamp costing £1.6m.

JD Wetherspoon has turned the formerly-troubled Queen's Hotel pub into a family-friendly restaurant, creating 50 new jobs in the process.

Manager Simon Swann (33) has been a manager for eight of his ten years with the pub chain and previously worked at The Rhinocerous in Rotherham town centre.

He said: ““I’m aware of the problems that were here before and we’re on top of dealing with all of that.

“I’m not new to this and I’ve dealt with my fair share of problems in the past. We will be ready.

“The usual Wetherspoons policy will be in place and we’ll enforce a zero tolerance policy on drugs.”
