Pub was there before residents complaining of noise

A PUB owner spoke out after noise complaints from residents in neighbouring properties which have only recently become residential.

Simon Elliott said the High House on Moorgate Street in Rotherham had opened in 1853 and used to be surrounded only by businesses.

But conversion of neighbouring buildings to flats or houses of multiple occupation (HMO) have brought unfair criticism of the pub, he added.
