Hide AdBritish Land, the centre’s joint owner, wants to build a 330,000 sq ft leisure hall including restaurants, a new cinema, a gym as well as indoor golf and ten-pin bowling.
The new facility will be built onto the existing Oasis Dining Quarter and be housed under a lattice-like golf.
There will also be space for the facility to host large outdoor events and live music.

Hide AdDarren Pearce, Meadowhall centre director, said: “This is a very exciting era for Meadowhall. The proposed leisure hall is designed to give our shoppers even more choice and variety.”
The plans — which are expected to be submitted to Sheffield City Council this summer — will be on display on Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4.
Mr Pearce said: “We hope that many people will share their views and thoughts during the public consultation in June, ahead of the planning application, enabling us to maintain Meadowhall as Yorkshire's premier shopping and leisure destination.”

“This significant step change in the scheme's leisure provision will contribute to Sheffield's continuation as a driving force behind the Northern Powerhouse.
“This is a very exciting time and we look forward to working with Sheffield City Council to help ensure Sheffield's future success.”
If the proposals are approved, British Land hopes to start work on the site in 2018 and open the leisure hall in late 2020 or early 2021.
