£23m construction funding up for grabs

DEVELOPERS launching projects which can drive regional economic growth are invited to apply for a share of £23 million funding.

James Newman, chairman of SCR’s Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Our private sector colleagues in construction time and time again say access to finance is a major barrier to development.

“This fund is a direct response to this and we expect to see a return on the investments.”

Cllr Leigh Bramall, Sheffield City Council’s Cabinet member for business, added: “This fund will stimulate growth and overcome barriers to growth.”

The fund is made up of European Regional Development Fund and Growing Places money. See www.scrjessica.co.uk or call 020 7182 2956.
