IT MAY boast a lightweight carbonfibre body, a manic 552bhp V10 engine and a 202mph top speed but Lexus’ long-awaited LF-A supercar can be disarmed with a click of your computer’s mouse thanks to a new on-line configurator.

No less than 28 shades of paintwork and five brake calliper colours can be selected for the new hypercar—unveiled at last week's Tokyo Motor Show—by potential customers (or curious net surfers) looking to well and truly pimp their ride before shelling out the £343,000 asking price.

And the vast array of shades ensure that, while lightening fast Lexus can be made to look as menacing as Mad Max’s legendary Interceptor, it can also be transformed into something as mild as Barbie’s beach buggy…making it the campest supercar on the strip.

Instantly bedecking those purposeful, wind tunnel-determined curves in anything from garish Passion Pink or Fresh Green colour scheme, to the more subtle Steel Grey or Pearl Brown, is a sure fire way to lose hours on the net...
