Post offices closes for modernisation

Post Office Ltd confirmed the branch would close on Tuesday for the refurbishment to take place.

When it reopens, the High Street outlet will have a new open-plan layout and would be open for an extra eight-and-a-half hours a week.

The revamped office with three counter positions including, two secure fortress positions and a combi-counter with a Post Office terminal will sit alongside and a retail till, will be open from 8.30am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Customers are advised to go to the branches at Market Street, Goldthorpe, and Station Street, Swinton, Mexborough, during the 16-day closure.

Area Manager Anne Clark, said: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
