David Cameron's praise for Rotherham manufacturing centre

DAVID Cameron singled out Rotherham’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre as the future of high-tech industry.

The Prime Minister was speaking at London’s CBI on Monday, when he announced £200 million for a network of similar developments.

He said the new centres—bringing together universities and businesses—would be like the AMRC at Catcliffe, where the University of Sheffield, Rolls Royce and Boeing collaborate.

“These centres will be great for research, great for business and they’re going to put Britain back at the top table for innovation,” said Mr Cameron.
