Rotherham Conservatives rally behind Cllr Simon Ball for local elections 2024

OPPOSITION group chief Cllr Simon Ball has been re-elected to lead Rotherham Conservatives into the 2024 local elections.

The Hellaby & Maltby West ward member took over top duties in January after Cllr Emily Barley stepped down following the death of baby daughter Beatrice during labour last summer.

Cllr Ball said: “I am humbled that the councillors have chosen me to continue in the role as leader.

“We have an incredible team amassed here that is continuing to highlight the continual failures of Labour but not just that, coming up with ideas, motions and policies that will help the residents of Rotherham which you will see coming through in the next several months.

“These won’t be copied and paste motions that we see from the incumbent group.”

All 59 seats on RMBC will be up for grabs in the May 2024 local elections.
