Misconduct charge officer bailed

A ROTHERHAM police officer has been released on bail after being charged with misconduct.

PC Lee Lucas has been suspended from his duties while an investigation continues into his contact with members of the public.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “This is the result of an internal investigation by the force’s Professional Standards Department, supervised by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.”

Lucas (38) will appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 24.
