Mayor of Rotherham’s charity cash drive turns school scarlet

CHILDREN turned their school scarlet to support the Mayor of Rotherham’s drive for charity cash.
Pupils at Ferham School were the first to hold their own Wear It Red Day in aid of the Mayor’s charities by being sponsored to dress in red — the colour of Cllr Lyndsay Pitchley’s civic robes.
The event brought in £100, which will be split between the Alzheimers Society, Rotherham branch of the National Autistic Society and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Any schools wishing to take part should contact the Mayor's secretary Jill Shirt at [email protected].
