Cllr Victoria Cusworth, cabinet member for children and young people, said the project was designed to support families who may find school holidays difficult.
“The funding enables eligible children aged from reception to Year 11 to access holidays club for free,” she added.

“This Easter over 33 providers are supporting over 40 different activities taking place across the borough.
“Each holiday camp lasts for four hours, four days a week – and provides a hot meal and healthy snacks along with activities for children to take part in.”
Cllr Stuart Sansome, Kilnhurst & Swinton East ward for RMBC, said: “It was great to see so many children from the community involved.”
