Dearne couple facing murder charge over body in field

Angela Dowling, (47), of Windmill Avenue, and 31-year-old Stephen Schofield, of the same address, were arrested after the body of Alan James Easton, (50), of Bonhill, Dunbartonshire, was found on farmland in Everton, north Nottinghamshire.

Police confirmed that Mr Easton had recently moved to Conisbrough.

Dowling and Scholfield appeared at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday along with Matthew Duffy, (22), of Sussex Street, Doncaster.

All three did not enter a plea and have been remanded into custody with a trial date set for August 12.

Two other people arrested and questioned in connection with the death have been released without charge.
