Burglars injured police officer after booze-fueled burglary
Craig Edwards (29), Martin Ellis (29) and Ashley Raynes (26) appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday, charged with offences relating to the raid at Ravenfield Fishing Ponds.
The court heard the trio broke into a storage unit at the site on November 28 last year.

Hide AdPolice responded to a neighbour’s call and they were caught after a short car chase, in which one officer was injured by their getaway van.
At another storage container, police found £1,000 worth of wheelbarrows Edwards admitted stealing from hardware store Wickes.
Recorder Marji Mostafa heard that all three men had been drinking before the Ravenfield raid.
She also heard that Edwards had a “long history” of convictions, including two for dangerous driving.

Hide AdEdwards, of Manor Road, Wales, admitted burglary, attempted burglary, dangerous driving and drink-driving.
He was jailed for a total of 16 months and given a one-month concurrent sentence, along with an 18-month driving ban.
Ellis, of Pike Road, Rawmarsh, and Raynes, of Rother View Road, Canklow, both admitted attempted burglary for which they each received four-months in prison, suspended for 18 months, plus 100 hours of unpaid work and a curfew.
