Politicians lead the way in Rawmarsh clean-up campaign

LITTER-picking politicians led they way with a community clean-up operation in a well-used Rotherham park.

John Healey MP and Rawmarsh ward councillor Simon Evans organised litter pick in Rawmarsh’s Rosehill Victoria Park on July 3 and are banding together for a follow-up between 10am and midday today (10).

The operation comes in response to complaints about litter in the area.

Volunteers Dave Sheppard, Jane Burchby, Mark Stocks, Stuart Fower and Tom Smith turned up to help the dustbin-filling duo last week and the pair were urging others to join in this morning’s effort.
