Police seek man after woman sexually assaulted at Rotherham station

A WOMAN was sexually assaulted at Rotherham railway station - and police would like to speak to this man in connection with the incident.

The woman was walking up the stairs from platform two at about 11.40pm on Tuesday, September 27 when she was touched by a man behind her.

Det Sgt Paul Kazimierczyk, of British Transport Police, said: “Any unwanted sexual behaviour on the railway will not be tolerated.

“We take all reports of this nature very seriously.”

He added: “Our Report It to Stop It campaign, which aims to combat sexual assault and harassment on the railway, is proving very successful in supporting victims and bringing perpetrators of these crimes to justice.”
