Police probe unexplained death

Officers discovered the 48-year-old at a house on Morrell Street on Sunday evening. He died later in hospital.

A postmortem is expected to take place later today to establish the cause of death.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “An investigation is under way after a man found injured at a house in Rotherham died.

“His death is being treated as unexplained. Inquiries into the circumstances of his death are under way.”
