Police probe fatal attack on pony
ATTACKERS killed a pony by hitting it over the head with a heavy object.
Chester, a 28-year-old gelding, had to be put down after the incident, which police said happened between 10pm on Tuesday and 8.30am on Wednesday.
A spokesman added: “It is believed attackers led the pony from its enclosure at High View Stables in Carr Lane, Carr, before carrying out the attack.”
