Police plea for road collision witnesses

WITNESSES are being sought to a road collision in which a car rolled over leaving a man with minor injuries.

The incident happened on Wednesday (Aug 13) at 7.20am on Fish Pond Lane towards Grange Lane in Braithwell when a black Nissan Navara pick-up and a white Volkswagen Golf collided.

Police say the Nissan left the carriageway on a right-hand bend and rolled over, coming to rest the right way up.

The 29-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was later arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

Police are asking for anyone who saw the incident to get in touch – and they also want to trace the driver of the Volkswagen Golf.
