Police: Death of man found in Rotherham “not suspicious”

THE death of a man whose body was found yesterday morning is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Officers were called to Hollowgate where the man, thought to be in his 50s, was found. It is believed he lived at the address.

They carried out further enquiries today, including additional examinations of the back garden where the discovery was made.

A police spokesman said: “We believe that no one else was involved in the death. A file is now being prepared for the coroner.”

A postmortem carried out last night found that the man had died from significant chest and abdominal injuries.
