Police appeal for accident witnesses

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a traffic collision which left a 20-year-old woman in hospital.

The crash happened on Jumble Lane, between Ecclesfield and Rotherham, at around 9.15am on Monday.

A white Fiat 500 was travelling from Ecclesfield towards Rotherham when it hit a tree, just after passing over the M1 bridge.

The 20-year-old female driver was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 165 of March 9.
