Police are continuing inquiries to establish where the pensioner went after leaving his home address at Alric Drive, Brinsworth, Rotherham, at around 4pm on Saturday, April 7.

Extensive searches of a number of possible routes and areas he visits have already been carried out, but as yet there have been no sightings of him to confirm his whereabouts.

Officers believe Mr Lancaster may have made his way on foot or caught a bus out of the area, but no contact has been made with him since.

He had his bus pass and a small amount of money, but no mobile phone. Police said there were no confirmed sightings or CCTV footage of Mr Lancaster and it did not look like he has made contact with anyone since he left home.

He had been experiencing some problems with his memory and had left home several times before to visit a friend in Brinsworth Road, but it was out of character for him to be missing for so long.

Mr Lancaster is described as 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, with slim build with short, greying hair. He was last seen wearing dark shoes, a V-neck dark blue/black jumper, black-striped shirt and black jogging bottoms with a white stripe down the legs.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV and searching areas along the routes Mr Lancaster may have taken and asked members of the public to contact them immediately on 101 and quote reference: CX/2259/2012 if they have seen him.
