PICTURES: Spooky fun for kids

There was spooktacular fun for schoolchildren at a scary Hallowe’en party hosted by a supermarket.

Asda at Dalton organised the event for pupils at Dalton Foljambe Primary School.

The party of 21 children played spooky games and enjoyed a selection of Hallowe’en treats.

The store’s Community Colleague Sam Jarvis led the party and carried out fun Hallowe’en activities with the children, including pumpkin carving and cookie decorating.

A fright came in the shape of one party guest dressed as a vampire, but the youngsters all lined up for a photograph with the ghoulish character.

The photographs were then processed at the in-store instant photo shop before being framed and given to each child as a keepsake.

The youngsters were given a trick or treat goody bag so they can host their very own Hallowe’en parties.

Sam said: “It was really great to be able to put on a Hallowe’en party."
