YOUNG people aged between 12 and 18 are being encouraged to join a health advisory group and improve care services in their community.

Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust runs the Young Advisory Group, which is led by children and young people and works with RDaSH's care group to review service designs, provide feedback, and help tailor health offers to young people across Rotherham.

Rhoda Enioluwada, who is RDaSH's engagement and participation lead in the transformation and integration team's children’s care group, said: The young people will be gaining work experience by being volunteers for RDaSH as well as improving the services in their community.

They also get opportunities to be involved in national projects, community projects and, at times, collaborate with other young people groups.

“We meet once every month.

“Refreshment is provided at the venue and support is available for transport.”
