Villages lose mobile library runs in Rotherham cut-backs

The main vehicle’s 69 fortnightly stops across 28 villages will be reduced to 17 stops in half as many places.
Booklink is a smaller mobile library focused mainly on sheltered accommodation, nursing homes and day centres.

Booklink can carry about 860 items including large print, Braille and books on CD.
The merged mobile service, including Central Library’s home delivery service, will be called Libraries on the Go!
The changes — combined with the closure of Kimberworth Park library — will save £180,666.
