Tributes to veteran councillors
ROTHERHAM’S Labour Group has said farewell to three retired councillors with a combined 59 years of service.
Iain StJohn and Reg Littleboy stepped down while Jane Austen, now of Eckington, was elected onto Derbyshire Council in May.

Hide AdA group spokesman said their hard work and contribution over the years had been appreciated and would be missed.
Mr StJohn said: “Over 30 years I’ve seen positive improvements in both the environment and in the quality of people's lives.
“I enjoyed my time, and worked hard for the public I represented. Now it’s time for others to carry on the work.”
Mr Littleboy said he would continue to be an activist in his community, adding: “I may have retired but I haven't gone away.”

Hide AdMrs Austen said: “It’s been a privilege to represent Holderness ward for the past ten years. I wish all my former colleagues, both at borough and parish level, all the best for what will be a challenging future.”
