Three deliberate blazes on 'worst road in Rotherham for fire attacks'

THREE wheelie bins were deliberately set on fire in the early hours of this morning – on the “worst road in Rotherham for arson attacks”.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident at 12.50am on Canklow Road, Canklow and left at 1.10am.

Last week we reported how firebugs have made this street the worst in Rotherham for deliberate blazes after it suffered from a total of 100 arsons in recent times.

The Advertiser accessed South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue data which confirmed the top 15 addresses for arson within the Rotherham borough, covering a period from July 2020 to summer 2023.

Elsewhere a skip was deliberately set on fire at 7.25pm on Mill Close in Templeborough last night.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident and came away at 8.10pm.

Aston firefighters later dealt with an arson attack involving rubbish at 10.55pm on Rotherham Road, Beighton.

The crew left the scene at 11.15pm.
