Three Cranes' live music nights soaring high
A POPULAR town centre pub's latest live show line-up has been welcomed with a chorus of approval from music fans.
The Three Cranes, on High Street, first welcomed Sheffield-based Anya Lace to its stage for its trio of live gigs who brought her signature pop-country sound in June.

More recently, Rotherham’s own Chris D. Jones joined the pub for a night of "blues-infused storytelling and gritty musicality” on July 3.
And rising indie pop artist Daisy Peacock, who has secured top ten spots in both Song Academy’s Young Songwriter Competition 2024 and Citrus Records’ Songs of the Year list, will be at the venue on July 31.
Earlier this month Daisy was the musical guest on BBC Radio 4 Loose Ends show which was recorded at the Crossed Wires Festival in Sheffield.
Located in one of the oldest secular buildings in South Yorkshire, The Three Cranes is owned and run by local couple Adam and Rosie Booth and regularly hosts a growing calendar of events including craft fairs and workshops, tarot reading, and drag bingo.
Adam said: “From the outset we wanted this to be more than just a gig series – it’s a platform for emerging artists.
“But against a backdrop of streaming and the same tracks getting plays on Spotify we want our stage and this pub to be a space for audiences to connect with music in its most genuine form.
“With free entry and a focus on authenticity and storytelling, the music series aims to bring the community together through live performance.”
“Whether you're a dedicated music fan or simply looking for a great night out, this new series is helping people discover something special – right on their doorstep.
“We had a great turn-out for Chris's show which is not surprising – he is a natural story teller and having him and his guitar on stage playing raw and live was exactly what an authentic gig should be.
“Meanwhile Daisy is definitely one-to-watch and a real rising star – national radio audiences can hear her play on the Loose Ends show (recorded at Crossed Wires) in August.
“But before then locals can come along to see her on stage right here in Rotherham on July 31 with us.”
