Chantry co-founder Mick Warburton said: “We are over the moon.

“It makes all the hard work worthwhile and it’s incredible that all our three pubs have won a title this year.”

Mick praised Cutlers’ managers Kerry Garner and Graham Woodhouse — and music promoter Mick Hill for “working tirelessly to make it the best music venue in Rotherham”.

He added: “He has worked miracles in getting people from around the UK to visit us to see the great bands he puts on.

“At this rate we are going to need a bigger venue or to expand the Cutlers’.”

The grade II-listed Edwardian-era building is listed in Camra’s Yorkshire Heritage Pubs book and has been highly rated by reviewers.

Chantry Brewery was presented with Rotherham District Civic Society’s 2014 Stan Crowther Environment Award for the restoration of the Cutlers’.

The pub also has a blue plaque outside to mark its important roles as a coroner’s court and enlistment office during the First World War.

Chantry also paid tribute to Tavern manager Chris Brown and the Inn’s Terry Kynoch and Alison Powell.
