A THEME park resort and a South Yorkshire football club have announced a “perfect pairing”.

Gulliver’s Valley Theme Park and Resorts mascot Gully Mouse was a guest of honour at the first match of the season for Sheffield United Women’s team.

Gully officially kicked off the partnership between the two organisations and was proud to be part of a team photo to mark the occasion.

David Bold from Gulliver’s said: “We are extremely proud to be working with the Sheffield United Women’s team and will be supporting the team throughout the season and offering season ticket holders a range of opportunities to visit Gulliver’s Valley from free child tickets to discount off our amazing accommodation offering.

“Our community relationships and partnerships are key to our success, and we love developing mutually beneficial relationships with organisations who play a key role in the local South Yorkshire community.”

Gully Mouse met Captain Blade at the event and the two mascots posed for photos with young fans.

Jess Bent, partnerships executive for Sheffield United Women said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Gulliver’s Valley and extremely grateful for their support this season, particularly in the offering of free child tickets to our loyal season ticket holders.

"Being a local theme park with an audience similar to our own, this is the perfect pairing.”

Earlier this year Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts agreed a three-year partnership with The Scout Association.

The agreement saw Gully mouse posing with the resort's sponsored Beavers ‘My Outdoor Challenge’ Badge.
