Something for everyone at SAFE@LAST show

A TRADITIONAL variety night with a huge cast of talented actors, singers, musicians and dancers will grace the stage at Rotherham Civic Theatre next month in aid of runaways charity SAFE@LAST.

The programme for the show on Friday, February 10 includes songs from West End shows, comedy routines, classical music, rock n'roll, Eastern belly dancers and cabaret artists.

Comedian Wayne Biggin will compere the STARS@LAST show, which will feature young musician Robbie Jansen of the National Children’s Orchestra, lawyer and author Steve Smith, singer Lauren Housley and local band Diesel Vanilla, whose number includes two South Yorkshire police officers.

Also taking to the stage will be the Zubaidah belly dance troupe, who specialise in exciting Eastern dance routines from the traditional Arabic to the tribal, while there will be performances from the Gillian Banks Theatre School, Janet Mitchell School o fDance, A-List and Rotherham Teachers’ Student Academy.                                           

Organiser Christine Ayres said: “STARS@LAST will be a fabulous show packed with brilliant acts.

“This year’s show includes some great comedy routines to rock the theatre with laughter.

“All the acts are appearing completely free of charge, and we’re so grateful to them.”
