Rothacs appoints new chief executive to continue vital work with survivors of sexual and domestic abuse
McKinney, who has 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector and previously served as the chief executive of Cherrytree Support Services in Sheffield, will begin her new role on March 7th.
Rothacs provides free, one-to-one therapeutic counseling to female and male survivors aged 13 and above, and more than half of its clients are victims of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). McKinney praised Rothacs for its excellent reputation and said she was looking forward to joining the team.

Hide AdRothacs chair Dr Anne Cooper welcomed McKinney, saying that an important part of the job would be attracting more funding so that the charity could continue its vital work.
She added that Rothacs was grateful for the support of its statutory and charitable funders, but to secure the organization's future, they need to reach out to other bodies that can assist them.
The charity receives referrals from health professionals, statutory agencies, and the NHS, as well as self-referrals.
McKinney's predecessor, Angela Toulson, has moved to a sister organization in Sheffield after five years.
