Pub set to hit right notes with launch of new live music
A POPULAR town centre pub will launch its new live music series championing emerging local talent next week.
The Three Cranes Presents… is the debut music event series for the High Street pub and is set to be a “celebration of the very best in local, up-and-coming singer-songwriters.”
Kicking off the live music on Friday, June 12 from 7.30pm will be Sheffield-based Anya Lace who will be bringing her signature pop-country sound to the stage.
Located in one of the oldest secular buildings in South Yorkshire, The Three Cranes is owned and run by local couple Adam and Rosie Booth and regularly hosts a growing calendar of events including craft fairs and workshops, tarot reading, and drag bingo.
A spokesperson for the venue said: “The Three Cranes is quickly becoming a hub for culture, community, and great nights out.
“With free entry and a focus on authenticity and storytelling, the music series aims to bring the community together through live performance.”
After Anya Lace's debut gig at the pub, upcoming shows include Rotherham’s own Chris D. Jones offering a night of "blues-infused storytelling and gritty musicality” on Friday, July 3 from 8.00pm.
Meanwhile rising indie pop artist Daisy Peacock has secured top ten spots in both Song Academy’s Young Songwriter Competition 2024 and Citrus Records’ Songs of the Year list.
Catch her at the venue on Friday, July 31 from 7.30pm.
The spokesperson added: “This is more than just a gig series – it’s a platform for emerging artists and a space for audiences to connect with music in its most genuine form.
“Whether you're a dedicated music fan or simply looking for a great night out, this new series invites you to discover something special – right on your doorstep.”
