Mayor puts on blindfold for Rotherham guide dog walk

Guide Dogs for the Blind is one of the mayor’s three chosen charities for her year in office and she will take a blindfolded walk through the town centre to experience what it is like for people with sight loss.
The event will take place on Tuesday, July 12 from 1pm and the charity will also be running bucket collections on the day to raise money.

“The market will be on and there’s a lot of obstacles and furniture so we want to demonstrate how bad it is.”
