Legionnaires' disease probe continues into Rotherham outbreak
But number of cases is stable, say experts
An outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in Rotherham is still being investigated, the Advertiser can reveal.
But the cases have not increased in number - though authorities have not said how many people have been infected.

It was revealed earlier this month that the disease - which causes a severe pneumonia and is caught by breathing in tiny droplets of water containing legionella bacteria - were found in the Kimberworth Park area.
Specialists from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) are leading the investigation into the outbreak, working closely with Rotherham Borough Council and local partners.
A spokesman for UKHSA told the Advertiser: “The investigation continues and the current number of cases hasn’t increased.
“The wider risk to the public stills remains low.”
