Howard Webb enters soft toy in teddy bear skydive

HOWARD Webb dropped in on Bluebell Wood to support a teddy bear parachute jump raising money for the children’s hospice.

Wakefield Rotary Club’s Ready, Teddy, Jump event will see sponsored soft toys dropped from 100ft towards a target this weekend (20).

Howard’s hedgehog is among several celebrity entries for the event in Wakefield, raising cash for three children’s hospices.

The ex-referee, a patron of the North Anston charity, said: “I am always keen to support their ventures and this is something a bit different and interesting.”

Bluebell Wood community fundraiser Russell Hall said: “We are very grateful for the support we get from everyone in our communities.

“When we received the call from Wakefield Rotary Club to let us know they were intending to fundraise for us and two other children’s hospices, we were very excited.”
