Freemasons put £250,000 Diamond Jubilee cash up for grabs

COMMUNITY groups are being urged to bid for cash from a £250,000 funding pot.

The West Riding arm of the Freemasons, which has lodges in Rotherham and Swinton, is celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year by giving away the money.

It is inviting bids from worth causes, with £100,000 to be allocated in major grants and the rest handed out in smaller sums of under £5,000.
