Robin Symonds, of UNISON, said: “The council calls it a re-configuration of the service...but to us it looks like decimation.”

All UNISON members are invited to a meeting to discuss the council’s proposals and the union’s response next Tuesday February 4, starting at 6.30 pm at the John Smith Room in Rotherham Town Hall.

The massive shake-up of children’s services is part of a 45-day public consultation exercise.
