Crews called after arson attack at entrance hall of flats
FIREFIGHTERS spent nearly two hours dealing with a blaze in an entrance hall of flats after arsonists struck.
Crews from Rotherham, Elm Lane and Dearne stations were called out to the fire, believed to have been started deliberately, at Wingfield Road, Wingfield, at 7.40pm on Friday (January 12).
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue said: “There were no reports of any casualties.
“Crews left the scene at 9.25pm.”
