Cllr Christine Mills quits

A LONG-serving Conisbrough councillor is stepping down after 16 years.

Cllr Christine Mills, who has held various cabinet positions on Doncaster Council, said it had been “a tremendous privilege” to represent the Conisbrough and Denaby Ward.

She added: “I will miss many of the people I have come into contact with but feel it is now time to step back and spend some quality time with my family.”

Conisbrough resident Nigel Ball has been selected to stand for Labour in Conisbrough and Denaby at the next election along with current councillors Sandra Holland and Craig Sahman.
