Charity’s new gift shop opens in “wonderful building”
Rotherham Hospice has taken over part of the historic Imperial Buildings and is selling cards, children’s items, decorations and present ideas for stag and hen parties and weddings.
Hospice director of income generation Stephen King said: “It’s fantastic to open our shop in this wonderful building to help us raise much-needed funds for the hospice.”
The Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, Cllr Robert Taylor and Mrs Tracy Taylor, who snapped up a sparkly purse, were the first customers.
The Mayor said: “It’s brilliant what the hospice has done in re-imagining this space and I hope a venture like this can bring many people in through its doors.”
