Hospice director of income generation Stephen King said: “It’s fantastic to open our shop in this wonderful building to help us raise much-needed funds for the hospice.”

The Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham, Cllr Robert Taylor and Mrs Tracy Taylor, who snapped up a sparkly purse, were the first customers.

The Mayor said: “It’s brilliant what the hospice has done in re-imagining this space and I hope a venture like this can bring many people in through its doors.”
