Charity gets £10,000 IT boost

AN ADVICE and information service has been given nearly £10,000 to improve its IT facilities.

RAIN — Rotherham Advice and Information Network — received the funding from the Santander Foundation to upgrade its facilities at Eastwood Lane.

Yvonne Woolley, RAIN’s manager, said: “Our building offers a range of services to approximately 5,000 people per quarter.

“We needed to renew, update and enhance IT systems in order to improve and maintain standards of service for the service users.

“RAIN'S IT systems have been provided and maintained by ESP, a local enterprise — we value their continued support as it enhances our day-to-day work in the building.”

The Santander Foundation funding provided R.A.I.N.’s IT suite with 12 new computers and those using the facilities at the building can job search, update their CVs or simply browse the web.
