Black tie ball to remember Joss

THE family of an inspirational teenager whose brave battle against cancer attracted backing from a host of celebrity supporters will mark his 18th birthday with a glitzy charity ball.

The memory Joss Rowley Stark will be honoured with an evening of champagn, music and dancing at the New York Stadium on tomorrow evening.

The black tie ball will also include a three-course meal, Las Vegas-style gaming tables and entertainment from band The English Gentlemen.

Joss, who had forged a fledgling sporting career in rugby and athletics, died two years ago.

His battle for health had brought tributes from the likes of Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and former England rugby captain Lewis Moody.
