Proceeds from the night will go to the charity Pilgrim Bandits launched by a small group of Special Forces veterans in 2007 with the aim of using their training and experience to help and inspire wounded soldiers to live life to the full.

Amputees are encouraged to take part in physically and mentally demanding situations as part of their recovery including climbing mountains, jumping from aircraft, running races, and trekking across inhospitable terrain.

A spokesman for the charity said: “We push those that have already endured too much to  go beyond endurance, to embrace life again and in so doing inspire others.”

Tickets for the event are £2.50 and available from the club on Hamilton Road or Vic Hanson 07788 778839.
