“Beat Blue Monday by backing Bluebell Wood” plea

A CHARITY is urging people to beat Blue Monday today by signing up to put a splash of colour in their lives.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is urging people to put aside the gloom of the year’s most depressing day by putting their names down for the Colour Dash, due to take place in May.

The 5km run will this year take place at Rother Valley Country Park on May 2nd.

Participants of all ages will be able to take to the course and will be showered at each kilometre with brightly coloured powder manufactured specifically for throwing at people.

Chief executive, Claire Rintoul will lead over 2,500 across the start line and is sure to finish in an array of colours head to toe.

She said: “After seeing the huge achievement and excitement of last year's Colour Dash, I thought it was my turn to get messy and help our children and families.

“The community spirit I see every day at the hospice and in our communities is incredible.
