Assisted suicide bill ditched despite Rotherham MP's support

The Rotherham MP (pictured) made her feelings known in Parliament but the proposal was dropped as it failed to pass its second reading.
Ms Champion, former boss of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said: “I know death. I understand death and I firmly believe that everybody deserves a good death.

“In reality, most people do not have a good death.”
The bill would have enabled terminally-ill adults to be provided with medical assistance to end their own life.
